Domtar To Sponsor Pictorial University in New York City on October 17, 2006

Carlstadt, NJ, July 31, 2006 - Pictorial Offset Corporation, the largest privately-owned, single-facility commercial printer in the United States, is proud to announce that Domtar Paper Company will be the sole sponsor of the Pictorial University Fall Session at the McGraw-Hill Auditorium in New York City on October 17, 2006.

The Pictorial University Fall Session is themed Print Works: Quality + Sustainability = Profitability. Pictorial University is open to all brand marketers, corporate print buyers, advertising agencies and graphic arts creative and production professionals. Pictorial University provides semi-annual educational sessions exploring trends and technologies that influence print buying and brand marketing.

Within the past several years, our involvement in environmental issues and initiatives has brought us closer together. Donald R. Samuels To Be Inducted Into Hall of Fame

Carlstadt , NJ , August 1, 2005 - Pictorial Offset Corporation is pleased to announce that Managing Partner, Donald R. Samuels was inducted into the Printing Impressions/RIT Hall of Fame at the 15 th Annual Gold Ink Awards on September 12, 2005 . The Award was presented at the Print05 Tradeshow and Conference in Chicago .

Donald joined Pictorial in 1975 upon his graduation from RIT. As one of Pictorial’s Managing Partners, his current duties include spearheading all sales and marketing efforts of the firm, as well as managing several corporate national accounts. Pictorial has grown 80 fold since Donald and his brothers Gary and Lester, assumed management of the corporation in 1980.

Pictorial has recently expanded its capabilities with the founding of Pictorial Mailworks, a full-service mailing and fulfillment company, and establishing a strategic network alliance with Integrated Imaging Corporation. IIC is a graphic enterprise that offers a complete range of solutions for digital and print communications and is certified M/WDBE compliant by NJ/NY and National Minority Supplier Development Council. With these latest additions, Donald and Pictorial Offset Corporation are realizing their vision of being able to offer customers complete “Design to Destination” services.

Donald is a member of the World Presidents Organization in the Metro New York chapter, and has either chaired or served on many committees of the Young Presidents Organization and is a member of the Chief Executives Organization. He is the founder of the Jay P. Samuels Nathaniel Rochester Society Scholarship at RIT. In 2005 Donald and his managing partners at Pictorial Offset Corporation were awarded the New Jersey Corporate Philanthropic Award. The award endowment was donated to The YCS Foundation, the largest provider of behavioral and health services to children throughout New Jersey .

Donald graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a degree in Graphic Arts Management and since then has attended annual executive business programs at both Harvard and Stanford University .


Pictorial Offset Receives Awards in Worldwide Print Competition

Pictorial Offset Corporation received awards for outstanding achievement in Consumer Direct Mail Campaigns in the 2001 Premier Print Awards, the graphic arts industry’s largest and most prestigious worldwide printing competition hosted by the Printing Industries of America (PIA), Incorporated, the world’s largest graphic arts association.

Pictorial Offset Corporation recently received 57 awards from the Association of Graphic Communication. “We strive to provide only the highest quality work for our clients and I am proud to be recognized for that,” remarked Lester F. Samuels, Managing Partner.



Pictorial Offset Corporation Wins Sappi North America Printer of the Year


Pictorial Offset Corporation was recently awarded’sappi North America Printer of the Year Silver award for its Guess G3 Steel Watch Poster designed by Callanen International. The celebration for the Mid-Atlantic region was held on May 1, 2000 in Philadelphia. Award criteria included overall impact of the piece, degree of difficulty, and technical excellence. “The use of a dull background to make the embossed UV watch really stand out makes the poster is an impressive creation” stated one of the judges.


American Express Supplier Excellence Award

In a worldwide review of its vendors, Pictorial Offset has been selected as a Silver Award winner in the American Express Supplier Excellence Awards for 1999. Pictorial Offset received this achievement by maintaining a 98 percent or better efficiency rating throughout the year at American Express. This review process is based on the Malcolm Baldridge criteria.


Pictorial Offset Corporation Wins North America’s Most Prestigious Print Competition —
The Gold Ink Awards


In a competition of over 1800 entries Pictorial Offset Corporation has been honored by the Gold Ink Panel of Judges as among this years best printing in North America, taking home 8 awards including one gold and one Silver. Criteria for the award-winning pieces included quality of printing, quality of color separations, technical difficulty and overall visual effectiveness.


64 Industry Awards


Pictorial Offset Corporation recently received 64 awards from the Association of Graphic Communications 58th event. Even more impressive, Pictorial earned an AGC Technical Excellence Award and one of 4 winners chosen from over 1000 entries for this year’s Pantone Color Excellence Awards for its Promotional Brochure.


The Association of Graphic Communications, one of the oldest regional and largest trade associations covering the metropolitan New York/New Jersey printing and graphic arts marketplace, recently’sponsored The 58th Annual Graphic Arts Exhibition. The Exhibition is a competition and celebration of the finest quality of traditional printing, prepress, finishing and new digital technology. Entries are judged on the basis of production quality, and effective utilization of paper, type, color, binding and other media relevant elements.

Supplier Excellence Award

In 1997, Pictorial Offset was selected as a Silver Award winner in the American Express Supplier Excellence Awards. This award is given to American Express vendors from a worldwide review. Pictorial Offset received this achievement by maintaining a 98% efficiency rating at American Express. The review was based on the Malcolm Baldridge criteria.
